2019 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Regional

PPL Center is celebrating its five year anniversary this fall as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, enter their fifth hockey season in downtown Allentown. Among a diverse and exciting line-up of events for the 2018-19 season lands the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Midwest Regional on Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31. The exact competition times of the two-day regional are to be announced. Penn State University will serve as the host institution for the event again this year.

The Midwest Regional will return to PPL Center for the second consecutive year, where four NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey teams will showcase the best of college hockey and compete in single-elimination play on their quest to the National Championship. One team will prove victorious and advance to the Men’s Frozen Four® on April 11 & 13, for their shot to earn the title of national champion.

All-Session tickets for the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Midwest Regional will go on sale to the public beginning on Tuesday, November 13 at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will begin on Thursday, November 1 and run through Friday, November 9. In April of 2017, PPL Center was selected by the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee to host the 2018 and 2019 Regionals. The 2018 tournament, held on March 24 & 25, 2018 at PPL Center, featured host institution Penn State, defending national champion Denver, Princeton, and Ohio State. Ohio State claimed an exciting win over Denver in the Midwest Regional Final, advancing to the Men’s Frozen Four in Saint Paul, Minnesota to ultimately fall to Minnesota Duluth in the Semifinals. The Bulldogs went on to defeat Notre Dame to claim the national championship.
